I'm relentlessly curious, and that's what drives me. Over more than twenty years across retail, entertainment, franchising and energy, the goal has come down to the same thing: understand what customers really want, then build the strategy and the systems to deliver it. Curiosity is how I get up to speed fast in a new industry, and it's why I can read the drivers in almost any business.

Much of that time has been spent inside founder-led and growth businesses, so I know what it's like when the business is personal. I've led teams and strategy across branding, sales, systems, customer experience, communications and operations, which means I don't see marketing as a department. I see it as the whole business, from the first ad someone sees to the way their call gets answered.

Strategy isn't a document that sits in a drawer. It runs all the way down, into the systems, the service and the words on the page. I'm good at the thing a lot of businesses struggle with: taking something complex and making it easy to understand. Clear communication wins, whether it's a customer who finally gets what you do, a team that knows where it's heading, or a board that trusts the plan.

Outside work I captain a cricket side and play footy and netball. Leading a team on a Saturday teaches you plenty about getting a group of people moving in the same direction, and I bring the same energy into a business.
